J. Cole - Any Given Sunday EP

Looks like Cole felt like creating a "G.O.O.D Friday" type of thing on the way to his album. First up, a zip full of music. Cole says:
Every Sunday til the album drops I’ll be back with something. Maybe just 1 song, maybe a video, depending on how I’m feeling. September 27! We almost there. Until then…
Details on the tracks from Cole himself after the break.

J. Cole - Any Given Sunday #1

Kevin Cossom - Cold (Feat. Joe Budden)

Cossom's establishing himself slowly and after getting a huge look on the hook of Pusha T's 'Feeling Myself' (Pause) off of his Fear Of God mixtape, here's another solid track from him. With a few quick bars from Budden and the interesting production courtesy of The Runners, we have a decent (very pop-like) track from him. Do what Y'all Do.

Kudos: TS

Chevy Woods - The Drive (Feat. Mac Miller)

Chevy & Mac Miller link up once again for a new joint off Chevy's forthcoming mixtape. Taylor Gang's Big Jerm on the boards. If you haven't yet, make sure and pick up that Red Cup Music

Chris Brown - Boy In Detention (Cover)

Jasmine Sullivan - Drive By (Always on my Mind)

I have no clue where this came from or if it will be on anything but hey, I'm sure the ladies won't mind this at all. Jasmine is working on her 3rd album but it has no title or any of that yet so, just enjoy this for what it is. Do what Y'all Do.

Game - Drug Test (Feat. Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre) + Game - Balee That (Feat. Lil Wayne & Birdman) (Tags)

This one below right here is most likely off of the R.E.D Album and we get it courtesy of those dudes at DHH.

This next one right here isn't on the album but It might be on that Hood Morning tape that is coming August 1st. I haven't heard it out in rotation yet so here you go. Of course Birdman takes up space but I'm not mad at Wayne. It's a rip and what not but it's listenable.

Side Note: DJ Folk Twitpic'd the possible tracklist?

Meek Mill & Rick Ross Talk 'Ima Boss' Remix

Mannnn, LISTEN!! Rozay stopped over by Cosmic Kev's and was talking about the Ima Boss track that has been slowly taking over the world after being out for 8 months and in my opinion, has 'I'm On One' beat for summer anthem. Here's a fun fact: Remember M.I.A's Paper Planes? The track that was a smash hit a few (maybe 2-3) years ago? It was originally out in 04. Yeah man, took years for that shit to get off the ground. That's knowledge for you rappers out there who want to make it. It takes time. Also, I'm glad Rozay gave Meek his props, the guy deserves all the credit he gets for bringing that track and his own talent to the MMG team. Finally, the two were also hyping up this Ima Boss remix that's on the way. They're hinting (which is pretty much confirming) that the legend Jay-Z and Diddy will be on the track as well as Birdman and Swizzy. I'm hype for the first choice, and I care less as that list goes on, honestly. Hopefully the last two don't ruin it for me. Anyway check it out for yourself. I don't think I have to tell you that when the track drops we here at TCC will have it up for ya.

Crooked I - I'm a Boss + Nasty

Mannnnnnn LISTEN, I shouldn't have to tell any of you about Slaughterhouse therefor I shouldn't have to tell you about how MEAN every single artist in the team is. Here One Quarter of the Slaughter drops two freestyles on two of the hottest beats out right now. I don't have to tell you they were destroyed.

"You don't know who you fuckin with, glory hole." I'm Out man... Just do what Y'all Do.

Crooked I - I'm A Boss Freestyle

Crooked I - Nasty Freestyle

You Should Know: Childish Gambino

If there's one thing I know, it's that today's concept of a Hip Hop sound is easily debatable. It's more than just a hard beat now, it's various instruments and notes that can come together and create something the masses who support the genre can get into and enjoy. That being said, all sorts of artists bring different types of sounds and some can obviously appeal to some more than others, which obviously leads us to claiming our favorites. My current favorite? Childish Gambino.

CG, (Real name: Donald Glover) is a comedian (featured on Comedy Central), writer (wrote for the Emmy Award winning television show "30 Rock"), actor (currently stars in the critically acclaimed show "Community") and of course an artist, producing and writing his own material. His sound? Far from the norm. While speaking an acquaintance of mine; fellow blogger Kenny, the creator of the well known website RapDose and a fellow fan of Gambino, he described his sound to be "Like Drake with the whole singing/rapping thing but he keeps it more real and has more excitement lyrically and message wise. Not to mention, the production value seems better". He is definitely correct in this sense and with his indie style of music, he creates his own lane in Hip Hop. So much more could be said about Glover especially considering me as a huge fan, but this has gone on long enough.

Lately he's been on tour and above is a few short clips of what hes been up to mixed in with a snippet of his coming single off of his next project titled Camp. If you're interested, you can check out two of his best projects here and here. After the break is the music video and download link for what I feel is one of his best tracks called 'Freaks & Geeks'.

Be Warned, this isn't any regular mainstream artist. Glover provides thought provoking, barrier breaking, intriguing and even some pause worthy lyricism on his tracks. He's different, as he says, and it shows in his work.

Meek Mill - Don't Panic (Feat. Rick Ross & Yo Gotti) [Tags]

New Meek Mill featuring his Boss and Yo Gotti. All tagged up for now, CDQ will come as soon as possible. Honestly the tags on it make it too difficult for me to even care about this too much, but it sounds like it's got the potential. Do what Y'all Do.
